It depends on the cube and which pieces are dyed. Internal dye on a split-piece designed cube will not, but capped piece cubes will, as they tend to lose color at the corners where the lube dries the quickest. The main measure you can take to prevent the dye from fading is to regularly lube your cube in those areas.
